Paris, France, June 13, 2018. It is ‘only’ six years until Paris host the 2024 Olympics and the French Volleyball Federation are setting the bar high when it comes to their perspectives in Beach Volleyball. The sport will profit from some unique settings in the ‘Ville Lumière’ and Team France will definitely be willing to shine on home sand.
As a result, the French Volleyball Federation (FFVB) have started an ambitious Olympic programme, leading to Paris 2024 through Tokyo 2020. They are currently looking for young players aged from 17 to 25 willing to pursue the Olympic dream together with an experienced and renowned coaching staff.
Brazilian-born Lissandro Carvalho (pictured) is at the helm of the project, after achieving international success with teams from his native Brazil, Italy and Kazakhstan. France have never won an Olympic medal in Beach Volleyball but it is six years until Paris host the Olympics – and young players, full of energy and motivation are the right asset to start with in order to pursue the ultimate dream of any athlete!
