Kazakhstani team in beach volleyball won the gold medal at the Asian Games in Korean city Incheon reports Vesti.kz.
Pair of Alexander Dyachenko and Alexey Sidorenko in the final match beat the duo from China - Chen Cheng and Li Yan. In the first set Kazakhssyani athletes took over with the score 21:15. and then won and in the second set - 21:10.
The outcome of the meeting was the gold medal – 2: 0 in favor of Kazakhstan.
In the group round Dyachenko and Sidorenko beat the teams of Oman and Malaysia and in the playoffs they defeated the players from Sri Lanka and Qatar. In the semifinals, domestic athletes were stronger than the other Chinese pair - Khaliq Jan and Bao Zhang (2: 1).
Another pair of Kazakhstan, Alexey Kuleshov and Dmitriy Yakovlev, left the contest in Step 1.8 finals, losing to Japanese Hitoshi Murakami and Takumi Takahashi - 1: 2.
It should be noted that this award in the beach volleyball became the 14th gold medal won by the national team of Kazakhstan.
